Originally released in 1978 as a sequel to Super Ape, Return of the Super Ape featuring The Upsetters has been accredited to Lee "Scratch" Perry as being another of his dub and roots reggae - inspired masterpieces. With vibrant and metaphoric Rastafarian- themed lyrics and his classic use of sound effects and layered rhythms,  Lee Perry created and exceptional production during his final months at Black Ark Studios.
